With new updates, users 18 and older can now interact with Gemini through school-issued Google accounts. Privacy concerns are addressed with additional protections ensuring that user data is not used to train or improve AI models. Upcoming updates will also make Gemini available to teen students under carefully considered safety measures.

- Gemini now includes advanced features for interactive learning, such as responses from OpenStax textbooks and personalised study guidance from the new Learning Coach Gem.
- Students can upload documents for tailored study support and access educational videos on YouTube with real-time definitions and the ability to ask questions directly on the watch page. This aims to make studying more engaging and responsive to individual needs.
Enhanced Research and Study Aids
Google has also upgraded tools like NotebookLM and Google Lens to support student learning.

- Google Lens offers step-by-step help for homework problems and real-time information lookup.
