FNU Partners with Pakistan 

Fiji National University (FNU) has signed a landmark agreement with Pakistan’s University of Agriculture Faisalabad to promote smart farming solutions in Fiji, according to FBC News.

The partnership will enable Fijian researchers and students to access cutting-edge agricultural technology, including AI-powered monitoring tools, data-driven crop management systems, and modern irrigation techniques. It’s a timely move as Fiji seeks to future-proof its agricultural sector against climate change and rising food insecurity.

FNU Vice Chancellor Professor Unaisi Nabobo-Baba said the collaboration is not just about tech—it’s about transforming livelihoods. “We want our farmers and students to harness smart farming to improve productivity and resilience,” she said.
