Public-private partnerships are crucial in bridging this gap by leveraging resources and expertise to create accessible learning opportunities. Additionally, LinkedIn’s “Train-the-Trainer” program helps nonprofit leaders maximise the benefits of LinkedIn Premium, enabling them to better support professionals facing barriers.

A shift towards skills-based hiring is levelling the playing field, with LinkedIn data showing that companies can expand their talent pools by up to 12 times in India by prioritising skills over traditional experience. This approach is increasingly being adopted by organisations as they recognize the value of upskilling and reskilling their workforce. LinkedIn is supporting this transition with tools like Skills Match within LinkedIn Recruiter, which helps recruiters identify candidates with the right skills for open roles. The focus on skills-first hiring is not only critical for individual career growth but also essential for organisational success in the AI-driven future.
