AI Tiki Tech: Coming Soon to an Island Retreat Near You
January 31, 2024AI’s Zodiac’s Predictions As You Enter February- Will the Luck Continue?
February 5, 2024In an incredible breakthrough, 14-year-old Prayrona Choudhury, a student from Richland, Washington, has introduced a groundbreaking technology called ‘AquaTranslate’. According to BNN Breaking, this innovative system uses artificial intelligence (AI) to analyse water data in real-time and combined with a robotic water rover, it transforms how we tackle environmental challenges related to oceans and climate change. She serves as a great example to Pacific innovators to learn from and inculcate AI into their local innovations.
Prayrona Choudhury, developer of AquaTranslate
AquaTranslate is not your ordinary AI software:
It’s a much-needed toolkit for marine conservationists in the Pacific Islands and beyond. Imagine a tool that can quickly measure water acidity and temperature, reducing the time it takes to analyse data from weeks to just 10-20 minutes. This swift turnaround allows scientists to address urgent environmental issues promptly.
Choudhury plans to enhance the rover’s capabilities by adding more sensors to measure additional data points like metal and oxygen levels. Her goal is to file a patent for this technology, and she dreams of pursuing a career in marine biology, focusing on using AI for marine conservation in the unique context of Oceania.
This innovation holds significant promise for our archipelagos and their seas, helping protect diverse marine life and preserving beautiful ecosystems for generations to come.
